May - October 2023 ~ an accumulation of thought.
an internal debate over fate versus free will, chance against skill.
film photos and found grocery lists fill my top dresser drawer,
reminders of a tangible world.
lines scrawled on the side of a paper grocery bag,
on the back of an overdue bill,
reminiscing on a time where I probably wasn't as happy as I am now.
that's how it goes, it seems.
'pinball is legal' in your notes app, my 25th birthday in 2018, 9:50 pm.
we'd laugh about it much later,
even if these songs are now just sonic amber for an emotion felt yesterday.
